What is Sculptris?

Sculptris is a free software program, that has one main feature, it is good for sculpting. Unlike Blender, sculptris can handle much more geometry without yuor computer freezing. In addition it has materials and paint to color your model. It is for Mac and Windows and can be downloaded here. 

Advantages:

  • Handles geometry well
  • User Friendly
  • Dynamic Sculpting
  • Import alphas for brush texture
  • Symmetry, Mask, and other features

Disadvantages:

  • No modeling (start with sphere of plane)
  • No multi object
  • limited exporting and may required conversion with another program
  • Crashes
